Generations 9 and 10 Peter Godt (5 April 1787--unknown) born in Rinkenaes. He bought a farm in Ostergeil in the district of Aabenraa. In 1818 he married Metta Christina Hansen (unknown--unknown) the daughter of Jacob Hansen from Holbol, Denmark. She brought with her a wedding chest with the 1818 date painted on it. It survived fire and war. It is now in the open air museum in Kiel (brought by Peter Karl), inside a house that was moved from Kvaers, Denmark. They had three children Hans Godt (23
June 1828--2 March 1897) born and died in Ostergeil. On 27 April
1859 he married Cathrine Hye (3 October 1835--19 March 1860)
from the farm of Hisselgaard near Rinkenaes, Denmark. She died
soon after the wedding; probably during child birth. On 6 June
1861 he married Betty Juliane Dorothea Christiansen (17 April
1834--1 November 1920) born BarIt, Dithmarschen south of Meldorf,
Schleswig-Holstein. She was the daughter of the Pastor in BarIt. Metta Christina Godt (unknown--1860). She married Volquard Christiansen (unknown--unknown) from Hokkerup, Denmark. Kathrin Godt (unknown--unknown) died shortly after birth. |
